BRICK & MORTAR STORES CLOSING

Well that's just great. Brick and mortar stores are closing all over the place. What's a caveman like myself to do. There are stores like Macy's, Sears, K-Mart and so on, closing stores throughout the United States. They cannot survive the onslaught from online retailers. Can everyone say AMAZON in unison! Yes, they are the dastardly culprits or at least the number one problem to the brick and mortar. They are sucking the life out of these stores as we speak.


There are those of us who like to try on, touch, and/or see in person, the things we buy. It's only natural. What if it doesn't fit? What if it doesn't look like the picture? Now, you have to go through the ordeal of returning and waiting for the correct item to come to you. This could be frustrating and tiring, all at the same time. I'm not one to complain. Well, not all of the time. But, I like going to the stores, especially the ones in the mall. Is that true? I wonder. When, was the last time I went shopping at the mall. All those long lines, parking and yes, the people (SMH), I may have to reconsider this argument. Sorry. I may have protested to much.

DINOSAUR GATOR

A massive alligator was spotted in a reserve near Lakeland, Florida. The animal is 12-feet-long and appears to weigh about as much as a mini-cooper. The animal is so big that many thought it was a hoax. It has been established that it is the real thing. The animal is believed to be a distant cousin to dinosaurs. If you see the video of the animal walking on land, you would agree.

What's amazing is not that such an animal exist. There was an even bigger alligator found before in another part of Florida. What's amazing is the spectators. When you see the video or the pictures, you will see people taking pictures of the animal. They are just standing and kneeling at what appears to be a few feet from the animal. They have no barrier, no wall, and no protection.

I mean really, really! Whatever happened to self preservation? Did I mention that the animal is a relative of dinosaurs. It looks like a dinosaur! And here you have these folks, they are all up close and personal with the gator. What happens if he decides it's time to eat? You should know that alligators go after the biggest prey. That's one of the things I like about them. So, if you are the fat-boy in the bunch, guest who's going first. I get that you want a picture. I recommend google images. BYE!

BEASTIALITY

I'm not one to judge. I'm a "live and let live" king of guy. But when I here of an actual case of beastiality, I have to say something. I mean really, really. A Florida man was accused of this and it has got to be the sickest, if not the saddest, thing ever. His roommate reported him when she witnessed him abusing the animal over 100 times.

My question is simple. Why did it take the 100th time to report this? She couldn't of reported it say after the 10th time. I'm just saying. I bet the dog that was abused is thinking the same thing. I have heard the term beastiality. I know it's a fetish for some. We won't go into that discussion. But now that I think about it, isn't it always abuse. Shouldn't the porn related beastiality folks be charged also. I mean, if we're going after this guy, why should the others get a pass. "Just saying." I'm going to take a shower now. I feel dirty.

THE FUTURE OF MARIJUANA

Ah yes, Marijuana. What can I say about it. It's been around a millennium. It was all the craze in the sixties and for that matter every decade after that. It use to be illegal in all fifty states. But then came, medical use marijuana. Can anyone say gateway? All you need is a doctors prescription and "bingo" you can have your marijuana. There are 28 legal medical marijuana states and D.C. Some states have approved it for recreational use. I'll leave it to you to find out which ones are those states.

The question is not simply can you use it. The question is more how can you profit from it. Well, there are several ways to do this. You can open a marijuana dispensary and sell it to qualified individuals. I use the word qualified loosely. You can set up a business to help the sellers of the legal dispensaries manage their money. As of now, regular banks will not allow the sellers to open bank accounts and/or use banks like ordinary businesses. The banks are afraid of the federal government. The "feds" still classify marijuana as an illegal substance.

The easiest way to profit from this without having federal law enforcement breathing down your neck is to invest in these companies. There are many marijuana related companies selling stock to the general public. The stocks range in price from pennies up to ten dollars. It is a risky investment. But let's take a layman's look at this industry. It goes without saying that marijuana will eventually be legalized in all fifty states. It's just a matter of time. And when I say time, I mean in the next twenty years if not sooner. What would happen if you started buying stock in some promising marijuana companies now? When the stock price goes up or there's a buy-out of the company by bigger companies (see: Big Tobacco), your stock will be worth a small fortune. This industry is ready to explode. If you play the long game, you could be in the ground floor for the wind fall. FOOD FOR THOUGHT, THINK ABOUT IT. 

Mayweather Vs. McGregor

Connor McGregor has challenged Floyd Mayweather to a fight. Mayweather has countered that challenge. The problem is the amount of money that would go to each fighter. Mayweather wants 100 million dollars and so does McGregor. Out of the two fighters, only one has ever collected that kind of money, Mayweather. What should be noted is that Floyd Mayweather is a professional boxer. Connor McGregor is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. The sports are quite different. One involves the use of the hands only. The other involves the use of everything with the exception of head buts.

This is my SOLUTION for Mayweather and McGregor. They should agree to have two fights. Each of the fights should correlate to each of their prospective sport. They should further agree that in the boxing match, Mayweather will take home the larger percentage of the purse. In the MMA match, McGregor will take home the larger percentage of the purse. They should also agree that if Mayweather loses to McGregor in a boxing match, there is no reason for a second fight. And the same should be agreed upon if McGregor loses to Mayweather in an MMA match. This will give further encouragement to fight at their highest capabilities and not to look for a second payday.

Now, how do we decide which fight should take place first, the Boxing match or the MMA fight. Some would argue since Mayweather is undefeated, he should decide on which fight should be chosen. Of course, he would choose boxing. Others may say, Since McGregor was the one to originally place forth the challenge, he should choose. Of course, he would choose MMA. I say do it the old fashion way, FLIP A COIN.
