THE PREDATOR ELITE: S1/CH10/"S7VEN"

Season1/Chapter10
"S7EN"

It was the day after their big heist. Mr. and Mrs. Kingston spent the day counting their stolen loot. Eleanor did not look at it as stolen. She thought of it as appropriating, a sort of wealth distribution. Atlas Kingston walked into the kitchen from the cellar first. He said, "Ellie, the count was 19,800,000 dollars. I can't believe it. We counted it twice and that was the number." Eleanor had come in to the kitchen behind her husband. She sat down opposite him at the kitchen table. She was mentally exhausted from all the counting. She said, "Yep, that's correct. We are now officially part of the 1%. How do you like them apples?" Atlas, as he does so often, gave his wife a bewildered look. He said, "I'll state it again. Someone or Some group is going to come looking for this money." Eleanor got up and went to the refrigerator. She took two bottled waters and handed one to her husband. She said, "I'm sure we covered our tracks pretty well. But if we didn't, we'll deal with whatever comes our way. We always do." She said it in such a menacing tone that Atlas shrugged a bit.

Eleanor was back at her place at the table. She was looking at her husband. She was studying him. Atlas noticed and said, "What? Why are you looking at me that way?" Eleanor was slouching in her chair. She now sat up and cracked her neck in the chair. She said, "I don't know. You seem a bit off. It's like your edge is not gone but diminishing." Atlas leaned forward in his chair and said, "Go on." Eleanor continued. She said, "Your feeling sorry for them. I can see it. I can sense it." Eleanor took a sip of her bottled water. She said, "I just don't know why. They have it coming. They really do. But you seem to want to show mercy for them. They are the scum of the earth, no mercy should be applied." Atlas took a deep breath and said, "It's not me you should be worried about. It's you or rather, your actions." "How so," said Eleanor. Atlas said, "Your loosing yourself to your baser instincts. This will lead to mistakes, mistakes that will get us caught." They both sat at the table staring intently at each other. Atlas said, "Do you know what they'll do to us if we are captured? It won't be pleasant." Eleanor chimed in and said, "There's feeling and there's doing. I do what needs to be done, leave the feelings at the door." Atlas said, "I'll do my part, no need to worry. I have it under control which is much more than I can say for you." Eleanor smiled. She said, "So, do you want to go down to the cellar and work this out in the sparring room or do you want to go work it out in the bedroom." Atlas leaned back in his chair, stared at his water. He then got up and headed for the bedroom. Eleanor laughed and shook her head. She said, "I thought so!" She then got up and followed her husband.

When they were done working things out in the bedroom, Eleanor said, "I have an idea." Atlas was staring at the ceiling and he said, "An idea for what?" " Eleanor was doing the same but smiling like a madman. She said, "Not for what but for whom. It involves our friend downstairs." Atlas looked at her and said, "Go on. Pray tell." She said, "I read a book and in this book, one of the victims met quite a fascinating end." "What was the books name," said Atlas. She said, "It was called S7VEN and yes it's spelled that way. In any regards, the villain took one of his victims and starved him to near death. The man's body deteriated to the point of decomposition but he kept him alive." She sat up and looked at Atlas. She said, "I want to do that to our friend downstairs. What do you think?" Atlas said, "First, it was a movie not a book." Eleanor said, "Yes, they wrote the book after the movie. The book was better." Atlas continued, "Second, an indepth knowledge of medicine is needed to do such a thing. Third, did you not here what I said about loosing control." Eleanor tilted her head and said, "I can do it. The medicine part is not a problem. I know what to do. I just need you to say, your with me." Atlas fixed his attention to the ceiling again. He said, "This is madness." Eleanor said, "Call it what you want, are you with me?" Atlas now looked at his wife and said, "I'm with you. I'm always with you, until death do us part." She said, "And not even then my dear Attie, not even then."
